FOCACCIA ....dari rumah Kitchen Snippets

saya tambahkan slices of chinese dates bagi ada rasa2 manis sedikit

Semasa rayau jalan rumah Kitchen Snippets terpandang roti seakan pizza ni...teruja la pulak. baca sekali imbas resepinya, eh berkenan rasa teringin nak buat.. masukan resepi ni dalam 'must try list'...bahan2 pun ada dan cara membuatnya nampak mudah je...mood nak buat pun tinggi. maka dalam pic di atas itu lah hasilnya...terima kasih empunya resepi. saya hanya separuhkan bahan kerana ahli rumah dah kurang dua orang. itu pun mengambil 3 hari nak mengabiskan.....

4 cups flour
1 tsp salt
7 g active dry yeast
1 2/3 cups warm water
3 tbsp olive oil

Topping: 1 large sweet onion-slice thinly
1/2 cup pine nuts
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
salt and black pepper to taste

1. put flour and salt in a bowl. stir well to combine. in separate bowl, whisk yeast into water and add oil

2. use large rubber spatula to make well in the centre of the flour. pour in the liquid n use the spatula to begin stirring in the center of the bowl, gradually stirring in a circle toward the sides of the bowl, incorporating more flour as u go

3. when flour all has incorporated, the dough will still be fairly soft. continue stir n fold the dough a few times with spatula till no dry bits of flour remain

4. cover bowl with plastic wrap and allow dough to rise at a warm place till doubled in bulk 1 - 2 hour

5. in the meantime prepare a sheet pan. grease generously with olive oil

6. scrape dough into prepared sheet pan. lightly oil ur hands to prevent sticking and press don on the dough so it evenly fills the pan. if the dough resists, cover it with a towel n let it rest for ten mins before continuing

7. cover the pan with oiled plastic wrap n allow the dough to rise till doubled again up to 1 hr. uncover n use fingertips to gently dimple the dough. scatter the slices onion on top follow by pine nuts. sprinkle cheese n lastly oregano, salt n pepper. drizzle a bit of olive oil all over top. bake in pre heated 400 deg F/30 mins/brown. let the focaccia cool in the pan for 5 mins, n then use a wide metal spatula to slide it onto a rack to finish cooling.
