KHOBIZ MOHALA (SWEET ROUND BREAD)

Kali ni buat roti stail keAraban ....terjumpa blog Arabic Bites melalui blog MamaFami. Terima kasih, sesuai dengan pepatah 'jauh perjalanan luas pemandangan..' sesapa yang memang minat dan suka meroti disarankan membuat kunjungan blog ini...keunikan roti2 nya roti 'flat bread'.. dan rotinya banyak yang menggunakan bahan2 buah kurma, sesuai dengan tempatnya pengeluar buah kurma...selain dari kurma dimakan begitu saja seperti biasanya, banyak makanan2 mereka menggunakan buah kurma sebagai salah satu bahan masakan.

Resepinya:-

5 1/2 C all purpose flour
1 1/2 C wheat bran ( tak punya tika saya buat)
1 Tbsp yeast
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 C sugar
1/3 C date molasses#
A pinch of saffron soaked in 2 Tbsp of rose water
1 C pitted dates soaked in 1 C of boiling water (let it cool before using)
3/4 C water

Toasted sesame seeds

@In a small bowl mix together:-
2 Tbsp boiling water
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda


Making dough:- mix all ingredients, knead dough for 10 mins. Place in a bowl, cover, let rest for 1 hour. Divide dough into 16 pieces, shape each into a small ball. Flat each ball to make a flat round square, then brush each with the mixture @
Make indents with fingertips. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place on baking sheets, cover. Let rise for 30 mins. Bake at 350 deg C for 20 mins/golden brown

#Making date molasses# 1 C pitted dates, 1 C water, Food processor

Bring pitted dates and water to boil in a saucepan for 5 - 10 mins/soft and plumped. Remove mixture from heat and cool slightly. Transfer into a food processor and pureed until a thick syrup forms.
