PIZZA......Sourdough base

Jika membelek2 buku resepi omputih selalu came across word 'sourdough' nie untuk membuat roti ke, kek ke...namun juga tak pernah nak kisah nak apa apakan...

Tapi suatu hari 'ddeghap' rumah Treat & Trick, nengok posting roll pizza nya, read through the recipe dia sebut penggunaan sourdough untuk pizza base nya..diletaknya recipe membuat dough masam tu. Rasa cam menarik je so mencuba lah buat. Apa lagi chicken mushroom filling duk membeku dah hampir dua minggu dalam freezer. Keju parut pun masih ada lagi, quite sometime gak keju ni berumah dalam freezer, perabihkan lah...

Cuma dari segi bentuk saya pilih whole pizza. Anyway thank you tuan rumah Treat & Trick

Recipe:
1 1/2 C all purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
4 tbsp oil ( I used 2 only)
1 - 3 tbsp water
Topping, to ur likened

Mix flour and the starter (sourdough) with salt, add in oil. Gradually add water until dough is formed.
Knead by hand for 8 mins or until the dough get elastic. Place in covered container/cling wrap the bowl, oiled the bowl and the dough. Leave it for 2 - 3 hrs/rise double size.
Roll out dough into rectangular. Spread with filling, roll up jelly roll style. Cut using sharp knife into 10 rolls. Leave for another hour. ( I bypassed this process). Towards the end of raising process preheat oven. Bake 20 - 25 mins.

( I baked the dough for 15 mins first/light brown, then only spread the base with some tomato puree and sprinkle evenly some grated cheese, spread the filling and sprinkle the top with the rest of the cheese. Put back in the oven to bake until done.

If you are using sourdough, then it need to be prepared before hand.

The recipe for the Sourdough

1 C water
1 C flour
1/2 tsp instant/dry yeast

Place all the ingredients in a container. Stir with a wooden spoon and let it sit in a covered bowl for 4 to 16 hours in warm and draft free place.
