Recipe:
Filling:- 3/4 cup strawberry jam/any type preferred, plus 1 cup dried fruits
Crust:- 1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup roll oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
1/2 cup melted butter (saya cairkan 3/4 cup)
Method:
1. pre heat oven 350 deg F. line and greased 8" x 8" sq baking tin
2. mix together flour, sugar, cinnamon pdr, salt and baking soda. stir in oats and walnuts. add melted butter, egg and vanilla e and stir, till all ingredients incorporated.
3. using fingers, lightly press half the crust mixture onto the bottom of the prepared pan. spread the filling over the crust leaving a 1/2" border around the edge of the pan. cover the top with the remaining crust mix and gently press to flatten it up. bake till light golden 30 - 35 minutes. cool for 1 hour. cut into bars with sharp knife.
