CRISP OATMEAL COOKIES



....bila gila membuat cookies melanda, ini lah jadinya. Semuanya untuk jajan si Azaf, maknya dan ayahnya juga. Stop sementara membeli biskut2 yang dijual di hypermart. Juga sementara mak si Azaf masih meninggi moodnya berkukis, masih tidak kemana-mana dan kaki maknya tak kena attack 'food drop pain' and lately kena 'frozen shoulder pain'. Mudahan cukup la sekali kena (frozen shoulder), sakitnya tak boleh nak describe...kesan pada mobiliti, agak menakutkan...

Sepatutnya cookies ni menggunakan oat sebagai bahan utama, tetapi diganti dengan muesli. Sebabnya beli 1 bungkus muesli dah quite sometime tapi gunanya sikit aje.

Jadian cookies ni rangup tapi agak kering...banding dengan choc chips Azaf slow je menikmati cookies oatmeal.

1 C vege shortening
3/4 C granulated sugar
3/4 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons water
11/2 C flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 C uncooked oatmeal (not instant)
1/2 C chopped walnuts
1/2 C raisins

Preheat oven to 350 deg F and grease some cookie sheets. Combine the shortening and sugars and beat thoroughly blended. Add the eggs, vanilla, and water, and beat until light and fluffy. Stir together the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Add to the first mixture and beat until completely mixed. Add the oatmeal,walnuts, and raisins, and stir until thoroughly blended. Arrange by rounded teaspoonfuls on the greased cookie sheets, placing them about 2" apart. Flatten cookies slightly with your wet fingertips into rounds about 1 1/2" across and 1/2 " thick. Bake for 10-12 mins,or until the cookies have spread a little and are lightly browned all over.
